月食 Lunar eclipse

月食或月蚀，是一种当月球运行进入地球的阴影（本影部份）时，原本可被太阳光照亮的部份，有部份或全部不能被直射阳光照亮，使得位于地球的观测者无法看到普通的月相的天文现象。月食发生时，太阳、地球、月球恰好或几乎在同一条直线上，因此月食必定发生在满月的晚上（农历十五、十六、或十七），如《说文》所说“日蚀则朔，月蚀则望”。

A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly behind the Earth into its umbra (shadow). This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned (in "syzygy") exactly, or very closely so, with the Earth in the middle. Hence, a lunar eclipse can only occur the night of a full moon. A lunar eclipse lasts for a few hours, whereas a total solar eclipse lasts for only a few minutes at any given place, due to the smaller size of the moon's shadow.

Solar eclipse 日环食

Solar eclipse which occurred in China Year 2012   

5月21日凌晨5點多，中國境內多地出現日食景觀，部分地區出現日環食，環食時間最長達4分33秒。這次的日環食，是繼2010年1月15日後在中國境內又一次可見的日環食，而下一次日環食將要等到2020年6月21日。圖為日環食拼接圖。
